The follow table lists 93 Type O Negative songs (not counting the silent track "The Misinterpretation of Silence and its Disastrous Consequences"), including nine songs that are not from any of the seven studio albums, and four are special tracks on studio album releases. All of these songs were written by Peter Steele except where noted.

The longest Type O Negative song is "I Know You're Fucking Someone Else", lasting 15:01, while the shortest musical song is Fay Wray Come Out and Play" at 1:02, except that there are eight "songs" in this list lasting shorter than that of "Fay Wray" but all of those only have recorded nonmusical sounds or spoken voices in them. The shortest track by the band is the outro track of October Rust, lasting just 9 seconds.

Some of the songs are divided into cantos, which are distinct subdivisions of a song each having well-defined differences in musical compositions and rhythms; see List of cantos.
